Pre-funding a Funeral

If you choose to pre-finance or pre-fund a funeral, we will deposit your funds into a trust account in your name.

Our funeral home uses the New Jersey Prepaid Funeral Trust Fund-Choices™- which is administered by the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association. Similar to a savings account, funds deposited with Choices earn interest and are insured against loss by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). After you select the specific merchandise and services to meet your needs, we will provide you with an itemized list of those goods and services. We will then send the trust agreement form along with your check made payable to Choices to establish the account. Choices™ sends you a confirmation when funds have been deposited and an annual statement showing the interest earned. You may either pay in full or make a minimum payment of $500 and arrange a payment plan. Unless the account is set up for a Medicaid recipient, the account is revocable which means money and interest deposited in the trust may be refunded upon demand.
